Overview
The Mindray Veta 5 is a compact veterinary anesthesia machine for companion-animal hospitals that want integrated electronic ventilation without a separate drive-gas supply. A high-performance turbine powers the ventilator so no drive gas is required. An 8-inch touch screen presents waveforms and parameters, including intelligent volume-support ventilation. Tidal volume can be set as low as 5 mL. Weight-based smart presets calculate starting parameters from patient weight.
Dual flowmeters cover oxygen and nitrous oxide for precise fresh-gas adjustment. An integrated vaporizer delivers anesthetic agent on the same platform. Safety features include an automatic system leak test with one-step startup, pressure gauges, pressure relief valves, an oxygen flush valve, and apnea detection. Optional side-stream EtCO₂ monitoring is available. Automatic waste-gas canister replacement reminders support routine maintenance. Mounting options include wall mount and mobile cart, with accessory mounts for patient monitors, pumps, and oxygen concentrators when the clinic layout calls for them.
