Overview
Swine cases put a lot of moisture into the breathing circuit, so Dispomed gave this Optimax a deeper canister base where water can collect while the circuit stays clear. A second canister is added for longer cases, a compact module with three drawers keeps tubing, bags, and accessories near the table, and a top shelf holds the patient monitor.
The rest of the machine follows the standard Optimax. Oxygen is set on a 0.1 to 4 LPM flowmeter with a rotating float and large scale, the flush valve is recessed, and the fresh gas outlet sits at the front with a quick-connect fitting, which makes it easy to move to another circuit or to the optional Bain adaptor. The vaporizer mounts on a SELECTATEC-compatible manifold that supports a vaporizer interlock. Standard equipment also includes gauges for circuit and line pressure, a pop-off valve with a momentary close feature, a condensation trap ahead of the soda lime, and a 2.5 meter DISS oxygen supply hose.
