Overview
The Mindray WATO EX-65 Pro Vet is a cart-based veterinary anesthesia machine with an integrated ventilator, a 15-inch color capacitive touchscreen, and an electronic gas mixer. A flat menu structure keeps all parameters on view, and changing the ventilation mode takes two steps.
Tidal volumes run from 5 to 1500 mL, with the 5 mL minimum available in VCV, PCV-VG, and SIMV-VG modes, so one machine covers patients from 1.1 to 331 lb (0.5 to 150 kg). Waveforms rescale automatically for small patients, and the apnea alarm logic is tuned to cut false alarms at low tidal volumes.
Plug-and-play gas modules with Artema technology measure O2, CO2, and N2O breath by breath and identify five anesthetic agents automatically. Anesthesia data passes through the ePM 12M Vet patient monitor to BeneVision CMS Vet central monitoring for an electronic record.

Battery backup
Two built-in Li-ion batteries run up to 150 minutes, and manual ventilation and agent delivery still work if all power fails.
Touchscreen and waveforms
A 15-inch capacitive touchscreen
The 1024 x 768 screen shows all setting and alarm parameters with pressure, flow, and volume waveforms and P-V, F-V, and F-P loops. Trend graphs and tables cover the last 48 hours, and the alarm log stores 500 events.
Plug-in gas monitoring
CO2 and multi-gas modules
Gas modules are plug-and-play. The AG module measures CO2 and N2O, identifies five anesthetic agents, and can add paramagnetic O2.
A side-stream CO2 module measures EtCO2 and FiCO2 with a capnography waveform. The Optimizer needs an AG or CO2 module loaded.
