Overview
The Mindray Vetus E5 is a portable veterinary ultrasound for primary care. It weighs under 8.8 lb (4 kg) with batteries, folds to 1.8 in (45 mm) thick, and opens to a 15.6-inch full HD monitor over a backlit keyboard and control panel.
The protective control panel is waterproof, dustproof, and hair-resistant and wipes clean for disinfection. A touch-sensitive gain control and lit TGC built into the panel make adjustments easy in a dark ultrasound room.
Imaging tools include HR Flow for micro-vascular and complex flow in color and power Doppler, iTouch one-click optimization, iClear speckle suppression, Natural Touch Elastography, and contrast imaging. Smart Calc traces and measures lesions automatically, and Smart HRI compares liver and renal cortex brightness from a 2D image to assess liver steatosis.

Protective control panel
Sealed against fluid, dust, and hair
The control panel resists water, dust, and hair and wipes clean between patients. The touch-sensitive gain control and lit TGC sit in the panel itself.
Six user-defined keys and a backlit QWERTY keyboard handle the rest, and the system boots in under 30 seconds.
Moving the system
Trolley, trolley case, or backpack
The Vetus E5 rides on its trolley in the clinic and packs into a trolley case or backpack for travel. Up to 2 transducers stay connected.
The replaceable battery gives more than 1.5 hours of continuous scanning, and the optional 4-battery U-Bank adds more.
