Overview
The Mindray Vetus 50 is a cart-based veterinary ultrasound built on the ZST+ platform with ComboWave transducers. ComboWave uses a composite piezoelectric crystal with 3T technology (3 matching layers) to widen the acoustic spectrum and lower acoustic impedance for even image resolution.
Dedicated presets give clear images without much parameter adjustment. Tools include Natural Touch Elastography for soft tissue stiffness, HR Flow for small vessels and complex flow, HD Scope for added detail in a selected area, Smart Calc lesion tracing, and four TDI modes (TVI, TVM, TVD, TEI) for myocardial motion.
For practices building ultrasound skills, iScanHelper shows more than 100 standard reference images, transducer position videos, and anatomical diagrams on the monitor and touchscreen during scanning. iWorks steps through each view and adds annotations and measurements, and iMeasure flags values outside a preset range.

iScanHelper puts a standard reference image, the transducer position, and an anatomical diagram beside the live image, on both the monitor and the 13.3-inch touchscreen.
iWorks moves to the next view automatically, sets up imaging modes, and opens the right measurement for each step.

The 21.5-inch monitor sits on a lifting arm, and overall height runs from 38.4 in (976 mm) to 63.8 in (1620 mm) as the panel and monitor rise. The anti-splash control panel cleans easily, and storage on the cart keeps accessories organized.
iLight lights the work area in a dark scanning room, and the system runs at 26 dB.
