Overview
The Mindray BeneFusion eSP/eVP/eDS Vet line covers three devices for veterinary infusion therapy: the eSP Vet syringe pump, the eVP Vet infusion pump, and the eDS Vet infusion supervision system, a docking station that holds 2 to 16 pumps. The eSP and eVP each have a 3.5-inch color capacitive touchscreen that works with gloves on.
Rated infusion accuracy is ±1.8% for the eSP and ±5% for the eVP, held over long infusions. SmartRapid shortens the time from power-on to the first drop, and SmartAIR on the eVP uses dual ultrasound sensors to detect air bubbles as small as 15 µL.
The Dynamic Pressure System shows in-line pressure on a speedometer-style indicator, warns before an occlusion interrupts the infusion, and resumes delivery once pressure drops. Both pumps connect to BeneVision CMS Vet central monitoring over a wired or wireless link.
Key Features
SmartRapid start
Mindray rates the eSP at 2 s to power on, 4 s to load a syringe, and 3 s to the first drop.
SmartAIR detection
Dual ultrasound sensors on the eVP check for air in line, with 6 bubble limits from 15 to 800 µL.
Dynamic Pressure System
15 occlusion levels from 50 to 1125 mmHg, a rising-pressure pre-alarm, and optional auto-restart.
Color-coded drug library
Up to 5000 drugs in 30 categories, with color-coded drug names to help staff confirm the right drug.
3-step adjustment
Bolus and titration take 3 steps, and rate, dose, and drug name change without stopping the infusion.
Guided alarms
Animated on-screen instructions show staff how to clear an alarm, such as purging air or reseating a syringe.
Touchscreen and drug coding
Key settings on a 3.5-inch color screen
The capacitive touchscreen shows the drug name, main infusion parameters, and real-time pressure status, with a color block for each drug name. An indicator on the door shows infusion status.
eDS Vet docking station
Dock and manage 2 to 16 pumps
The eDS Vet comes as a controller with 2 or 4 slots, and 4-slot extensions add room for up to 16 pumps with tool-free assembly. It mounts on horizontal or vertical poles with one pole clamp per shelf module, and the dock alarm follows the highest-priority pump alarm.
Without the dock, a stack rack holds up to 3 pumps.
Available options
- eSP Vet: syringe pump for 1 to 60 mL syringes
- eVP Vet: infusion pump for universal IV sets
- eDS Vet: docking station for 2 to 16 pumps
- Smart battery: eSP Vet run time of 11 hours or more at 5 mL/h
- Stack rack: up to 3 pumps without a dock
- Network: BeneVision CMS Vet connection
