Overview

The Mindray TMS30 Vet is a veterinary telemetry system for real-time ECG monitoring of ambulatory and caged patients in general wards, recovery (PACU), and ICU/CCU. The animal wears a small transmitter in a veterinary telemetry pouch, and the ECG streams to a Mindray Animal central monitoring system (CMS) through a wireless access point.

The transmitter weighs 170 g or less with its lithium battery and has a 1.54 in color display. It makes no sound and shows no alarm lights, so the patient is not disturbed. Audible and visual alarms appear at the CMS, which also stores full-disclosure waveforms for review and report printing.

ECG analysis covers ST segment and QT/QTc monitoring and up to 22 arrhythmia types, with CrozFusion analysis to reduce false alarms. A built-in sensor detects patient motion. One lithium battery runs at least 180 hours with the transmitter screen off.

Key Features

ECG and arrhythmia

3-lead ECG with ST segment and QT/QTc monitoring and up to 22 arrhythmia types reviewed at the CMS.

Veterinary telemetry pouch

The pouch hides the lead wires from chewing and snagging, and its electrode points guide lead placement.

Shave-free electrodes

A metal pad with a disposable gel-storage electrode records ECG without shaving, for up to 48 h per electrode.

180 h battery

At least 180 h on a lithium battery, or 115 h on 3 AA batteries, with the transmitter screen off.

Alarms at the station

The transmitter stays silent beside the patient, and audible and visual alarms sound at the CMS.

Full-disclosure review

The CMS shows several telemetry patients at once and stores full-disclosure waveforms for review and printed reports.

Telemetry pouch

Worn by the patient, out of reach of teeth

The transmitter rides in a veterinary telemetry pouch fastened around the chest. Lead wires stay inside the pouch, and electrode fixation points mark where each ECG lead goes.

The transmitter is rated IPX7 and passes a 1.5 m (4.9 ft) drop test.

Central station view

Several telemetry patients on one screen

Each transmitter sends ECG to the CMS with a delay of 3 s or less. The CMS shows several cages at once, alarms for each patient, and keeps full-disclosure waveforms for later review.

Available options

  • Power: rechargeable lithium battery or 3 AA batteries
  • Charging: central charger for lithium batteries
  • Network: access point (AP) and access controller (AC) for the CMS link
  • Pouch: veterinary telemetry pouch in sizes by body weight
  • Electrodes: reusable metal pads with disposable gel-storage electrodes, or snap lead sets

Veterinary Applications

Mindray positions the TMS30 Vet for continuous ECG on hospitalized animals, especially cardiac patients, where staff watch several patients from one station.

  • Cardiac inpatients
  • ICU and CCU
  • Post-anesthesia recovery (PACU)
  • General wards
  • Caged and ambulatory patients
  • Arrhythmia surveillance
