Overview
The Mindray PM60 Vet is a pocket-sized pulse oximeter for veterinary use. Mindray lists it for large and very small animal patients. It measures SpO2 and pulse rate, shows a plethysmogram waveform, and works in two modes: spot check and continuous monitoring.
Readings show in large type on a 2.4 in color TFT screen (320 x 240), with a standard screen or a waveform screen. Alarm limits for high and low values are user adjustable, with 3-level audible and visual alarms. Screen brightness adjusts to save battery power.
The PM60 Vet runs on a lithium-ion battery (24 h of continuous use, 2 h to charge) or on 3 AA batteries (36 h). In continuous mode it stores up to 96 h of trends; in spot-check mode it keeps up to 4,000 records across up to 99 patients. An infrared link sends real-time patient data to a computer.
