Overview
The Mindray uMEC12 Vet is a portable patient monitor built for veterinary use. Standard parameters are ECG, SpO2, NIBP, pulse rate, respiration rate, and temperature, and the monitor can add side-stream CO2, IBP, and cardiac output.
The NIBP algorithm is designed around animal blood flow and copes with weak signals and interference. SpO2 technology handles interference and weak perfusion, and the patented ECG algorithm with ECG Smart Lead keeps ECG monitoring stable.
The 12.1-inch high-resolution LED screen offers several display layouts and a large-font view, and a storage cabinet on the monitor keeps accessories organized. The fan-free, low-power design keeps fur out of the unit, and the casing is tested to a 2.5 ft (0.75 m) drop.
Key Features
Veterinary NIBP
An animal-specific algorithm detects weak signals and resists interference for fast readings, with Manual, STAT, and Sequence modes.
SpO2 for weak perfusion
SpO2 readings hold up through interference and weak perfusion, with a perfusion index range of 0.05 to 20%.
ECG Smart Lead
3 or 5 lead ECG with a patented algorithm, a heart rate range of 15 to 350 bpm, and alligator clips that stay attached.
Side-stream CO2
Optional Artema side-stream CO2 separates water well for both spontaneously breathing and ventilated patients.
Accessory cabinet
A storage cabinet on the monitor keeps cuffs, clips, and lead wires organized and close at hand.
Fan-free and durable
No fan to pull in fur, low power use, water resistance, and a casing tested to a 2.5 ft (0.75 m) drop.
Display and recording
A 12.1-inch high-resolution LED screen
The 800 x 600 display shows waveforms and numerics in several layouts, including a large-font view. A touchscreen is available, and the thermal recorder prints up to 3 waveforms.
The monitor stores 120 hours of trends, 1600 NIBP measurements, 1800 parameter alarms, and up to 48 hours of full-disclosure waveforms.
Accessory cabinet
Storage built into the back of the monitor
The rear accessory cabinet holds the NIBP cuff, ECG leads, and sensor cables with the monitor, so they move with it between rooms.
With battery, the uMEC12 Vet weighs under 8.8 lb (4.0 kg), and the optional 5 Ah battery runs more than 8 hours.
