Overview
Dispomed Carbon Dioxide Absorbent (Soda Lime) is CARBOLIME, a granular soda lime absorbent for removing carbon dioxide from closed and semi-closed patient breathing circuits on veterinary anesthesia setups.
Dispomed lists formulation notes including no KOH (manufacturer states this relates to lower anesthetic-agent degradation versus brands that contain potassium hydroxide), low dust with graded particle size, low bulk density for refill waste when canisters are changed frequently, and resistance to dry-gas desiccation that the manufacturer associates with lower carbon monoxide formation risk. Available in 1.6 L and 5 gal / 18.9 L sizes.
