Active Scavenger Interface for Central Vacuum System

Overview

The Dispomed Active Scavenger Interface for Central Vacuum System sits between a veterinary anesthesia machine’s evacuation path and the clinic’s central vacuum line so waste anesthetic gases can leave the room in an active scavenging layout. It is built to moderate vacuum strength so large airflow swings are less likely to empty the breathing bag or add circuit resistance during a case.

Unlike bag-style evacuation interfaces, the housing itself replaces the evacuation reservoir bag, so there is no evacuation bag to change and no routine bag consumable on this path. Manufactured by Dispomed. A separate MRI Conditional active interface model is available for magnet-adjacent suites (not this SKU).

How It Works

1. Connect

   Interface installs between the anesthesia machine’s evacuation system and the clinic central vacuum line.

2. Balance vacuum

   Interface controls vacuum strength so large airflow changes are less likely to deplete the breathing bag or raise circuit resistance.

3. Evacuate

   Unused gases are meant to leave the building through the facility’s active scavenging path; the interface housing serves in place of an evacuation reservoir bag.
